Being able to describe your emotions is an often-overlooked skill necessary to healing and growth. The ability to accurately understand and identify your emotions gives you insight into your present state and aids in mindful awareness. It also aides in helping others understand what you're going through and is the foundation for learning how to modulate your emotions and handle difficult situations.
